About Gavin

Just some basics about us.

Gavin is a very fun and goofy guy. He makes me laugh everyday. He is a very loving and caring man. He is also quite a gentlemen if I do say so myself. He is always willing to help cook and help with the dishes and any house chores that he can see needs to be done, and he does it on his own. That is a wonderful quality in a husband! We've been together since 2005 and we still haven't had a real fight. I just feel very lucky to have Gavin as my husband.

Gavin loves to play the piano and being a photographer. He has played the piano since he was in 1st grade. He enjoys writing music as well. Photography has been a great hobby for him for years. He got into his current job because of his love for photography. He helps run a local TV station and does marketing for the sister companies. It can be a lot of fun. Before this job, he worked for 10 years as a seminary teacher. He loved that job, even though it could be hard sometimes. We just really wanted to move back to Gavin's hometown, and the chances of getting transferred here weren't very good, it could have taken years for a spot to open. Then a job came open in the family business, and we took it. We just really wanted to raise our family in a small town, since we both grew up in small towns ourselves.

Gavin served a mission in the Argentina Mendoza Mission. He loved his mission and he misses the days of teaching seminary where he got to think about and talk about his mission everyday. We recently just finished reading our mission journals together so we could both remember it all once again.

(So Gavin may be embarrassed that I posted this picture.  But its fun.  And I thought it would be fun to show the Captain America jacket that I designed and made for him.)    :)

About Me

This blog is all about our desires to start our family. So far it hasn't worked out for us. We did get pregnant back in 2009. I only carried it for 10 weeks. We have had no luck since then. Gavin and I have always been very pro adoption. So here we are. We were chosen by an amazing, sweet young woman, she chose us right after finding out that she was pregnant. We loved her so much. But sadly she lost the baby when she was 16 weeks along. So we are still waiting for that special baby to come into our home. We wanted to start this blog to help you get to know us a bit better. I just think that it's different seeing a blog rather than just reading a profile. Enjoy! And don't be afraid to leave comments!
